Abortions after 15 weeks may soon outlawed in the state of Florida. The news comes on Thursday night after the Florida Senate passed a monumental bill in a 23-15 party-line vote.  The bill is now headed to the desk of Governor Ron DeSantis who is expected to sign the bill into law. His spokesperson Christina Pushaw is on record saying “Governor DeSantis is pro-life and has voiced support for the concepts in this bill."  Starting July 1, doctors in the state will be prohibited from performing abortions after the 15 week mark if the governor decides to endorse this decision.   While the bill aims to protect preborn children, there are still some exceptions. These include "irreversible physical impairment" or death to the mother as well as fatal abnormality.  The abortion bill is often perceived as reasonable although  rape, incest and trafficking are not current exceptions.   Despite Governor Charlie Baker's veto, Massachusetts' legistature voted on a bill last Tuesday that will expand abortion access in the Bay State a number of ways.  One of the most important changes is allowing abortions after the 24 week mark. Most people would agree that by this point of development the fetus is no longer a clump of cells. It's now a baby. By the 24 week mark alone, unborn babies are approximately 11½ inches long and about one pound. Unexpected Protect Life Rule The Trump Administration moved forward to enforce a new pro-life policy known as the Protect Life Rule last summer. It's purpose was to allocate federal Title X funding for organizations that help protect the unborn, but not everyone was thrilled. Democratic Crongresswoman Rolanda Hollis from the state of Alabama proposed a bill (HB 238) in February 2020 that “would require a man to undergo a vasectomy within one month of his 50th birthday or the birth of his third biological child, whichever comes first.”  Not only would they be forced to undergo the procedure, but they would also be required to pay for it out of their own pocket.  "It always takes two to tango," Hollis stated. This cute, little baby needs our help!  On January 29, 2020,  Ernesto Caballero (the boy's 49 year old father) murdered the baby's mother, grandmother and great grandmother in southern Florida. It's believed that the  “three generations of brave women were slained protecting the newborn’s life.”  Surveillance video  shows that he kidnapped his son after murdering the women and left the house with an  AR-15 rifle.  Later detectives found the father's body in the  woods in Pasco County. Massachusetts is trying to pass the ROE Act. What's it all about? The abbreviation is short for  Remove Obstacles and Expand Abortion Access Act , and it's not all sunshine and unicorns. Students will take a stand on October 15, 2019 by giving up their voice.  They are using their silence to represent the 3,000 babies killed everyday due to abortion.  The Pro-Life Day of Silent Solidarity was founded in 2004 by Bryan Kemper. Today this holiday is promoted by the Students for Life of America.  Participants are encouraged to wear red wristbands to show their support. National Day of Remembrance for Aborted Children The Pro-Life Action League, Citizens for a Pro-Life Society, and Priests for Life joined together to sponsor the 7th annual National Day of Remembrance for Aborted Children on September 19, 2019. They ask that we honor aborted babies on this day by visiting their grave sites. There are 52 known memorials and grave sites for aborted children in American. Don't Go Breakin' Georgia's Heart(Beat Bill) Georgia made a compelling argument when the state asked a federal judge not to block the heartbeat bill that's set to take effect Jan. 1.  Attorneys representing the state argued in court Monday that the bill "advances Georgia's unique and substantial constitutional interest in protecting unborn human lives, in addition to its interests in protecting maternal health, encouraging childbirth, and safe safeguarding the integrity of the medical profession."
